Tonight B and I saw The Magnetic Fields live at the Town Hall. I love them and this was my first time seeing them live. It was a great show, but a tad on the mellow/depressing side. It was all acoustic, which may have had something to do with it. There was certainly none of the cacophonous distortion heard on their latest album "Distortion". A co-worker of mine describes them as "whimsically depressing", and I have to agree with his assessment. Still, it was fun to see them live, finally! I think B enjoyed the show as well (it was his first time even hearing them), but it was a little too mellow for his tastes.
I hate California girls!!!
